According to the Materia Medica the following remedies in Urinary Care may be administered for the following conditions:
Apis mellifica: Excessive swelling; Cystitis; Nephritis; Difficult, frequent or slow urination.
Berberis vulgaris: Inflammation of kidneys with hematuria (blood in urine); Kidney stones; Clear discharge from meatus before urinating.
Bryonia: Urine is brown, red, resembles beer, is scanty and hot; Acts on serous membranes.
Cantharis: Disorders in urinary and sexual organs; Inflammation with bloody urine; Urine is passed drop by drop; Acute cystitis, nephritis, nephritic colic.
Cinchona officinalis: Irritable, sensitive and very touchy; Frequent urination.
Echinacea: Albumin in urine; Urination is scanty, frequent and involuntary.
Equisetum hyemale: Cystits; Kidney tonic; Polyuria; Pain and tenderness in bladder region.
Ferrum phosphoricum: Incontinence; Feverish conditions; First stage of inflammatory disorders.
Gelsemium sempervirens: Retention; Partial paralysis of bladder flow; Constant urination.
Hydrastis canadensis: Urine smells badly; Catarrh of bladder, with thick ropy mucous sediment in urine.
Juniperus communis: Catarrhal inflammation of kidneys; Chronic pyelitis; It has a very powerful action on the kidneys.
Lappa major: Profuse and frequent urination; Milky phosphatic urine.
Pareira brava: Affects the genito-urinary organs and the left side; Constant urging, great straining.
Phosphorus: Diabetes, sugar in urine; Urinates pure blood; Urine profuse, pale, watery, then weakness; Albuminuria, periodical; Haematuria (presence of blood in urine); Turbid urine.
Plantago major: Tenderness over regions of kidneys with pressure; With diabetes, frequent passage of large quantity of pale urine, worse night with thirst.
Pulsatilla: Stricture, urine passed only in drops and stream interrupted; Tenesmus (urging) of bladder and frequent want to urinate.
Sabal serrulata: Cystitis; Turbid thick urine; Urinary sediment.
Solidago virgaurea: Kidneys sensitive to pressure; Chronic nephritis; Cystitis; Thick sedament like gravel.
Terebinthina: Cystitis; Strangury (urinary disease characterized by a slow and meager excretion of urine) with bloody urine.
Uva-ursi: Involuntary green urine; Pyelitis; Haematuria (blood in urine); Slimy urine.
Suggested Use:
Pets, under 50 lbs., give 3 drops orally (50 to 500 lbs. - 6 drops, over 500 lbs. - 1/2 teaspoon) one to four times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Place in mouth or purified water.
